Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Buzzuh ("we," "us") handles information in our Android apps published on Google Play under the developer name Buzzuh (the "Apps") and on buzzuh.com. Each of our websites, such as quizplays.com, has its own privacy policy on that site.
1. The short version
- You don't need an account to use our Apps, and we don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your progress, favorites, streaks and settings are stored on your device.
- Our Apps show ads from Google AdMob, which uses device information such as your advertising ID. You can limit or turn off ad personalization in your device settings.
- We don't sell your personal information.
2. Information we collect
Information stored on your device. The Apps save things like quiz scores, streaks, favorites and settings in the App's local storage on your phone. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us.
Content loaded from our websites. Some Apps load content from our websites (for example, quizplays.com). When they do, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages requested, to deliver the content and protect against abuse.
Information collected by third-party services. Google Play services and the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from your IP address, device model and operating system, app interactions with ads, and crash and diagnostic data. See Advertising below.
Notifications. If you allow notifications (for example, a daily riddle reminder), the App schedules them on your device. You can turn them off at any time in the App or in your phone's settings.
Contact form. If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you enter, and we use them only to reply to you.
We don't request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location.
3. Advertising
Our Apps are free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and other information described above to show ads, measure how ads perform, limit how often you see the same ad, and prevent fraud. Where allowed, ads may be personalized based on your interests.
Learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and see Google's Privacy Policy.
4. How we use information
- To run the Apps and deliver their content and features.
- To show ads that keep the Apps free.
- To fix crashes and bugs and improve the Apps.
- To answer your messages and support requests.
- To protect the Apps, our websites and our users from fraud and abuse.
5. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Apps, namely Google (Google Play, AdMob) and Cloudflare (hosting), and when required by law or to protect our rights and users. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising except through the ad services described above, which you can control as explained below.
6. Your choices
- Ad personalization: On Android, go to Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads) to delete or reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads.
- Notifications: Turn them off in the App or in Settings → Apps → [App name] → Notifications.
- Local data: Clear it in Settings → Apps → [App name] → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling the App.
7. Retention and deletion
Because we don't create accounts, we don't keep a profile of you. Data stored on your device is deleted when you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you. Data collected by Google or Cloudflare is kept according to their own policies. To ask us to delete anything we hold about you, contact us.
8. Children
Our Apps are made for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to delete or correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. We don't sell personal information. To make a request, contact us. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections for content our Apps load. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the Apps.
