15 Things That Happen to Literally Everyone Every Fall

Yes, you will wear a sweater when it's 75 degrees out.

Fall is a feeling, and it shows up the same way for everyone. Here are 15 things that happen every single year, whether we like it or not.

1.You wear a sweater the first day it's below 80

You're sweating, but you're doing it in style. Fall has arrived because you said so.

2.Everything suddenly comes in pumpkin flavor

Pumpkin coffee, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cereal. At some point you will see pumpkin something that makes you stop and say, "Really?"

3.You buy a candle that smells like a forest

It's called something like "Crisp Autumn Woods," and it's the best $20 you'll spend all season.

4.Your heating debate begins

One person in the house wants the heat on. Everyone else says, "Just put on a sweater." This lasts until December.

5.You take 40 photos of one tree

The leaves are changing, and you need everyone to know about it. None of the photos look as good as real life.

6.You drive to see the leaves

You drive an hour to look at trees. The same trees you have at home, but somehow better.

7.Halloween candy shows up way too early

It's in stores before Labor Day ends. You tell yourself you're buying it for trick-or-treaters. You are not.

8.You pull out your fall coat and find money

Five dollars in a pocket from last year. Best day of the season.

9.You can't decide what to wear

It's 40 degrees in the morning and 75 by lunch. You leave home dressed for three different seasons.

10.Soup becomes a personality

You make one big pot of chili and suddenly you're telling everyone about your "soup season."

11.You visit a pumpkin patch for the photos

You leave with a pumpkin, a bag of kettle corn and 200 pictures of your family squinting.

12.The leaves need raking. Again.

You raked yesterday. Look outside. The tree said no.

13.Football is always on somewhere

Even if you don't watch it, you can hear it from another room every weekend.

14.It's dark at 5 p.m.

When daylight saving time ends, it feels like bedtime by dinner. Your body is confused, and so are you.

15.You start thinking about the holidays

It's October, but you've already planned Thanksgiving, made a gift list and sneakily listened to one holiday song.
