Dog owners are a special kind of people. We love our dogs a little too much and do some very strange things because of it. Be honest: how many of these have you done this week?

1.You give your dog a voice

And a whole personality. And an accent. And it's usually very dramatic.

2.You have more photos of your dog than of your family

Your camera roll is 80% dog. The other 20% is also the dog, but blurry.

3.You spell out certain words

W-A-L-K. B-A-T-H. T-R-E-A-T. And somehow the dog is learning to spell too.

4.You've said sorry to your dog for stepping near its paw

Even though it was in the middle of the hallway. Again.

5.You let them win the bed

You bought a king-size bed and now sleep on the edge of it, because the dog is comfortable.

6.You know every dog in the neighborhood by name

But you have no idea what their owners are called. "Oh, that's Biscuit's mom."

7.You've canceled plans to stay home with your dog

"Sorry, something came up." The something is a nap with your dog.

8.Your dog's birthday is a whole event

There's a pup cup, a party hat and a photo shoot. Your own birthday got a text.

9.You eat a snack in secret

Hiding in the kitchen, opening a bag of chips as quietly as possible. It never works.

10.You've bought a toy you know they'll destroy in five minutes

And you'll buy another one next week.

11.You talk to your dog more than to most people

And honestly, the conversations are better.

12.You feel guilty leaving for work

That sad face at the door gets you every single time.

13.You've watched your dog sleep

Just for a minute. Okay, ten minutes. They're just so peaceful.

14.You have a special voice only for your dog

It's higher, sillier and you'd never let anyone else hear it.

15.You'd do it all again in a heartbeat

Because no one is happier to see you walk through the door. Not even close.
